Automobile Accidents

Every year there are over 40 million accidents in the United States. In the event that you or someone you know is involved in an automobile accident there are steps that should be followed start to finish. However, many people make crucial mistakes that work against them. In the same token many freely wave their rights unknowingly which hurt their insurance claims in the end.
The main causes of Automobile accidents-

There are various factors that cause automobile accidents which are detailed below:

 Talking on the phone/texting
·          Driving a defective car
·         Doing makeup/Tying your tie(no it isn't just the women   fellas)
·         Eating
·         Not paying attention
·         Braking to late/Braking to fast
·         Wild animal causes a car pileup (in which you are so lucky to be a part of)
·         Drunk drivers
·         Reckless Drivers
·         The person who had his or her brother or sister go take the  driver’s test for them (there are many illiterate hair blowing in the wind, I don’t have a care kind of people out there)
·         Seasoned Professional Road Ragers
·         Driving past the limit/Driving under the limit
·         People switching lanes to quick or too slow
And last but not least the scam artist in the car ahead of you purposely causing commotion to reap the benefits of a nice insurance check from damage done to their car.(I advise no one to try this scam because 9 times out of 10 it won’t work to your benefit in the end )

So now that you know how traffic automobile accidents are caused, what should you do if you are in one of these series of unfortunate events?

Every driver should maintain theses three factors, because you may be the only conscious person on the scene. Moreover everybody involved may be in a panic, including the driver in front or behind you. Granted that, if you act impulsively and jump out of your car without being all of the three factors I mentioned above, you can lose out in the end. With that in mind, there is step number two on the checklist in automobile accident.

Look around and see if there are any hurt, unconscious or unresponsive passengers in your car? This is the very critical part of an accident your ability to maintain your health as a conscious driver. Move your car if possible out of the way of oncoming traffic, but don’t leave EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE CAR INSURANCE!!!Stay at the scene of the accident, because fleeing the scene of a crime carries strict punishments under the law, especially if there was a wrongful death claim filed provided that you were involved, as well as caught.

Provided that you have stayed at the accident, warn other drivers put your hazardous lights on immediately. If you are a driver of a larger vehicle like a U-Haul or some larger vehicle, put your triangle reflectors out or set flares.

These seem like really long steps; however I assure you that there is a automobile accident that happens every 5 seconds. When any accident happens it happens very fast, and these steps are to be executed in military manner, in others strictly and in order.

Call the Police-

Consequently, the next step is to call the police. Do not take in matters directly into your own hands because this could prove to be damaging when you are in an automobile accident. Immediately following calling the police get in touched with your insurance company. This is stressed because the quicker you get in touched with them, the fresher the facts from the automobile accident. In addition, the sooner your insurance company knows about the accident, the sooner they can start working to resolve your claim.

(Don’t discuss anything with the opposing party)

A very BIG Don’t is to not admit that the automobile was your fault. The only people you should correspond with is the police and you insurance agency claim representative.
Take notes-
·         Write down the names
·         addresses
·         phone numbers
·         license numbers for all drivers and witnesses,
Always get the information to those who weren't in the accident. This technique is very valuable to you automobile accident insurance claim. Equally important obtain insurance numbers and as well as policy numbers.

(Pat yourself on the back)

You have just followed the above steps  on what to do in an Automobile accident and on your way to a great start. Hopefully your precious car isn't totaled by now, but if it is you are well on your way to getting a new if you followed all of the above steps.
